Admissions
Originally the Home supported only the widows of NCOs and private soldiers who had served in the British Army. However, today we care for the widows and female dependants of ALL who have served in any of the Armed Forces of the Crown (namely Regular, Territorial, or Reserve units of the British Army, Royal Navy, and Royal Air Force.) This includes women who themselves have served in any of the Armed Forces.
Therefore women who meet our criteria include:
- Those who have served in the Armed Forces of the Crown
- Women who have been dependent on a man or woman who has served in the Armed Forces, which includes: Spouse, civil partner, widow, former spouse, former civil partner, parent, child, step child, adopted child, and qualifying co-habitant.
- Nursing Sisters and other female staff of the Nursing Yeomanry.
- Wives of In-Pensioners of the Royal Hospital Chelsea
Visitors to the Home are always very welcome though it would be appreciated if you could let us know of your intended visit so the we can ensure that there will be someone available to show you round and answer any questions you may have.
If you or one of your relatives or friends wish to come to the Royal Cambridge Home as a resident, please contact The Manager by telephone on +44 (0)20 8979 3788 or via email on rch@royalcambridgehome.org.
